Doesn’t seem to actually fit disposable bottles

A big part of why I bought this one vs the OG lifestraw was being able to screw it onto a disposable bottle. However the style of bottle I buy (Kirkland/Purelife/Presidents Choice) DOES NOT WORK. The thread barely catches and then it pops off. I’m very glad I tested it before going into the backcountry. It may work with a taller cap ie Dasani or Aquafina but I don’t buy either as they taste gross to me so can’t confirm nor deny. It does work to attach tubing to it ie from a hydration bag but I’d rather not have to cut my bite valve off to be able to make that work. Definitely irritated that it doesn’t work as expected/advertised but I suppose it’s still handy to have around.

Great item, poor instructions

The items are really great but the lack of instructions is irritating and frustrating. I am particularly referring to the dispenser I also bought. For example, it says to remove the filter but doesn't tell how. The company spends too much time telling how wonderful the item is (which I believe it is) and too little time giving practical information. Regarding the straw, I finally assumed that the filter did not need to be rinsed before using it, It would be good to told that and given instructions as to how to get to the filter.
