The Leviton Decora Tamper-Resistant Self-Test GFCI Receptacle brings piece of mind by testing itself regularly. With the slimmest profile available, Leviton's self-test GFCI conducts automatic internal checks to confirm ground fault response. It periodically monitors circuit integrity even if you forget. Its patented reset lockout prevents incorrect wiring from being concealed by blocking reset until the issue is fixed. This GFCI is the smart choice for ground fault protection that ensures safety for your home.
Light receptacle features 15 amps with 125 volts
20 Amp feed-through
Green LED indicator on the GFCI's face illuminates to alert the installer to the line-load wiring reversal and if the receptacle is in working order
Automatically test the GFCI every time the RESET button is pushed in - the GFCI will not reset if the GFCI circuit is not functioning properly
By blocking reset of the GFCI if protection has been compromised, SmartLockPRO reduces the possibility of end-users incorrectly assuming that a reset GFCI outlet is providing ground fault protection when it actually is not

Q: What does 20 amp feedthrough mean? Is it protecting 20 amps of potential ground fault, while only supplying 15 amps of power?
11 years agoA: The receptacle has a rating of 15A, so you are not able to plug any device that is rated higher than 15A into the GFCI receptacle. The 20A feed-through rating is the amount of protection the outlets downstream are receiving. All outlets rated under 20A downstream of the GFCI will be protected.
