My standard upgrade for washrooms, laundry, and workshop

It is solidly built and reasonably compact for what it is. I like the peace of mind I get from having it installed in areas where people work closely with electrical appliances.

I bought this to upgrade a receptacle in the house for safety. I love that it protects as both an AFCI and a GFCI. It is built to a higher grade of quality, and easy to install. I have bought three of these now, and recommend them.

    Questions

    1 - 1 of 1 Question

Q: is this compatible with aluminum wiring, if not do you make one?

    2 Answers
    • A: First of all, I am not an electrician. I can only give you my experience. I used to have a house that had aluminum wiring and had no problems using any conventional electrical switches, receptacles or other equipment. As far as I know, aluminum wiring is safe as long as you are careful enough not to overload the circuits. Therefore, a GFI receptacle makes a lot of sense. Not sure what you mean by making a GFI compatible with aluminum wiring but I don't think it is necessary.
