Q: This product includes 2 longer screws and a "bow" shaped piece of plastic with a few holes in it. Is this to be used to secure the plate to the drywall if there is no electrical box where I want to install it?

A: This plate is typically not made for holding in drywall. To mount your plate, you need to install low-voltage brackets.
