get wires out of sight and save on an electrician. the instructions are great but the only tricky part I found was the simple step of removing the top cover plate from the unit itself. feels like you are going to break it but somehow it does eventually just snap off as you put your fingernails around it to pry it open (putting it back on is a piece of cake). once doing this I would also recommend you do at least 2 HDMI cables so you never have to hook an extra one after and have to see it dangle from the tv (I did 3 actually). also sound cable and any other cables you can hide behind the wall with this unit as well.

Q: This is in-wall power rated and will pass building fire code and safety for Canada?

A: Hi Harris, I am the manufacturers retail sales manager for retail for Wiremold. I can confirm 100% that this item is the ONLY product that is approved for behind the wall installation of power cables in Canada. I hope that helps you out. Graham

A: I believe the kit comes with a hole saw, so drill the hole near the tv power cord rolled up cord that is then fish the kit power wire down inside the wall , drill the bottom hole and connect to wall socket, it’s easy.
