Love the mechanics!

I got this set to add a connection between my overworld and nether sets, and I really love it! You get a lot of detail in this set, besides the mechanic part. Two minifigures with armor and weapons and two animals, along with decorative items. It took me a second to figure out how the mechanics actually work. You RAISE the portal with the stone blocks. Once you raise it to the top, it stays. The lever on the side is only for LOWERING it. You just gently pull it and the portal will go down.

My son has many Minecraft lego sets and brought this with his Christmas money. This set is a very poor standard compared to other Minecraft sets. My son got upset as the leaver would not work so re-built again as thought maybe he had made a mistake. However after I re-built this set is still does nothing! Very poor Lego set that is very flimsy and with a leaver that does nothing. One disappointed little boy!

Great call checking the build and we're sorry that didn't help! One other thing to try is making sure the gears for the lever aren't too tight together (the total opposite of what bricks need!). If that doesn't help, get in touch at LEGO.build/Service-BV so we can make this right!
