LEGO® Mario Kart™ Baby Mario vs Baby Luigi - 72034, 321-pcs, Ages 8+

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 15 year old has been building LEGO sets forever—and this one is seriously one of the coolest Nintendo crossovers yet! She chose the Baby Mario vs. Baby Luigi set because, she’s a huge Mario Kart fan and I needed something new to build that wasn’t just another car or mech. The builds are really fun—Baby Mario’s buggy and Baby Luigi’s Tri-Speeder both have that classic LEGO charm but with a ton of Mario Kart personality. The karts can actually shoot shells (green and red!), and they included these balloon targets so you can actually battle. It’s like a mini LEGO version of Balloon Battle mode from the game, and it works way better than I expected. The baby figs are hilarious—chubby heads, short legs, and still somehow adorable and fierce at the same time. There’s lots of little details like the flame pipes on Luigi’s kart and the eyes on Mario’s that just make it feel like the designers actually play Mario Kart too. If you’ve got LEGO Mario or Luigi from the interactive sets (I have Luigi), you can pop him in the kart and it makes race sounds and drifting noises. Honestly, I thought that would be kind of cheesy, but it adds a whole extra layer of fun when you’re playing around with friends or younger cousins. Only downside? You’ll probably want more sets to build out a full track or get more racers. But this one is an awesome starter set or gift if you’re into Mario or racing. Super solid build, great playability, and it looks awesome on my shelf next to Bowser’s Castle. Definitely recommend for older builders too, not just little kids. It’s a small set with BIG fun. Lego sets can be pricey but when you buy one, you know it will provide hours of entertainment while engaging hand eye coordination and educational benefit of Stem and reading and following intricate directions. I do wish legos came in plastic storage containers for long term keepsakes to be handed down through generations as the toys themselves are that durable and long lasting as well as timeless classics. The cardboard boxes they come in that you have to somewhat rip open do not do it justice. And taking your children off of social media for good old fashioned fun, however this had the twist of being interactive as well with the sounds.

The best part is that it isn’t like a regular Lego set that you sit on the shelf when you’re done building it - it’s interactive and you can play with it when you’re done. It’s so much fun!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This packaging for this is absolutely adorable ! I’m a huge Mario fan so I absolutely loved seeing this ! I’m so excited to get started nice never done a Lego set before so me and my hubby plan to work on it together so I’ll update with the finish result ! This set has A LOT of pieces for it to seem like some Thing so simple. I opened the box and the pieces were well organized and quite sturdy so you don’t have to worry about the pieces breaking. This should be kept out of the reach of children unsupervised given how small the pieces are but other than that it seems fun and like soemthing new and exciting to try out plus it Mario !I love how you get both Mario and Luigi and have the options to buy more characters to make it even more exciting

He had no problem following the directions, even for the cars which were a little more complex. I'd recommend these to anyone with a kiddo near my son's age, it was the perfect set for him without being too easy or getting overwhelmed!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was the cutest Lego set to do with my daughter. We had so much fun building it. Part 2 which is Mario's cart was a little hard to put together, Luigi cart was much easier. The shooting is awesome some pieces did brake off but it was an easy fix. Over all will buy more of these
