Q: It says it not compatible to Moffat, yet it looks the same with wire hook connectors as the ones on the Moffat range I have. The element is also stamped 1500 W 240 V. What is the reason(s) for incompatibility?

A: Sorry can't help as I have a Whirlpool cook top which these elements fit fine. My thought would be that Laser knows that the Moffatt element looks similar but there may be slight dimensional differences, therefore not compatible
