Perfect Replacement Oven Bake Element

This element replaced perfectly the main bake element in a 30 plus year old GE stove. The bolts and the two prongs were perfect match for the oven, and the shape of the coil almost identical. It works even better than the original (heats up quicker) since it's probably a slightly higher wattage. Easy job to remove old and replace with new. Now my oven is like brand new.

A: I can't say I know the models by model number. I took my old element to the store to compare the terminals and mounting. This seems to be the only way to be sure. I notice some had a sort of hinge construction and some just had a flexible back plate that allows the element to be lifted slightly to insert a foil tray or whatever under it. The type I had just had the slightly flexible back plate. I just used the least expensive one that would fit for the terminals and mounting. The electrical rating was about the same on all of them. The one I used had screw terminals to connect to wires and mounted by 2 screws into the the back of the oven. I had checked that the replacement one also had holes to match the mounting screws. There was more than one hole pattern to allow it to mount different models of ovens. Some of the elements have spade terminals to connect to push on spade connectors.

A: No, they should be on your range already, just need to remove back panel, unplug range and remove 2 Robinson screws, about 10 minute job.

The item can be used in non self-clean stoves confirm the following: - The wattage on the new element matches your old element - The lead length 4-1/2” (from mounting bracket to the end of the lead matches) - Leads should be connected by screws - Leads should also be 1-3/4” inches apart (center to center) Thanks
