The Hay Bales that I purchased were what I wanted, the ordeal I went through was not. I first checked online to see which store had hay bales. I found two, South Edmonton Common and Windermere. I went to the South Edmonton Common store and advised they had some in stock but couldn't find them.I called the Windermere store and was told they had stock and where to find it.This whole trip took me around two and a half hours to complete and when I arrived home I discovered i had picked up a nail in my tire somewhere along the way. Not the way I planned to spend my day.

Bought these online , they are straw bales alright nothing to say there ... BUT LARGE ? ABSOLUTELY NOT .

A: I believe what I bought was a bale of straw not hay. I bought it for my outdoor cat shelters. It is not recommended to use hay as it absorbs moisture and then rots. The cats like it.

Q: The decorative bales of wheat straw - can you tell me if it is treated with any chemicals? We are looking to purchase a quantity for use in shelters for feral cats and this question was asked.

A: I am not the manufacturer and have not knowledge of chemicals. But take your ruler out and project the size the bale measurement. It is very small.

A: HAY is a crop grown for animal feed. STRAW is a byproduct of wheat, wheat is collected and then you're left with the wheat straw, which is what this product is. To recap, DO NOT FEED to animals or humans for that matter. And DO use for garden mulch and bedding, heck if you're really intuitive you can create ethanol!
