I LOVE this pan. I wasn’t sure it would work on my glass induction stovetop but it does. Things don’t tend to burn and it is fabulous for soups, sauces, casseroles, etc. It’s now my ‘go to’ pan for everything!

Poor Quality Enamel Finish

Do not recommend - poor quality enamel finish. After the very first time hand washing the casserole dish the enamel on the handle chipped off. I contacted Lagostina since this has a lifetime warranty, and they said this doesn't meet the terms of the warranty because "it appears as though the Dutch oven has support a fall or some kind of impact. Unfortunately, the Lagostina Limited warranty excludes drops or external damages caused by impacts." I took the casserole dish out of the packaging and washed it - there was no impact. The other handle is also cracked and will chip off.

No, I do not recommend this product.

A: No seasoning is required for these pots. They wash very easily. Just soak in soapy water if you cook a roast or chicken. These are excellent quality pots.

Q: Hi, I bought Lagostina 7 qt enamelled cast iron Casserole and on the box stating: Oven 26 C - 500 F but on the label inside that stating: Oven 204 C - 400 F. My question is: which information is correct??

A: Hi, you can use this Dutch oven on electric, gas or induction cooking. I love making stews and beans in the oven. It’s great for searing your meat on the stovetop before placing it on the oven for roasting. It’s a pot that will last you a lifetime if you care for it properly. Enjoy!

A: Thank you for your email. It is an enamel glaze made from materials which are tested for and evaluated for safety by the appropriate regulatory bodies such as United Laboratories and the FDA. Our product meets the current standards for safety and quality as tested by both domestic and international regulatory agencies. The product is also lead, cadmium and pfoa free. Hope this helps.
