DO NOT BUY! Not up to the brand name quality!

Boughr these tongs based on the Lagostina brand name when there was the choice of others also. From Day 1, the rubber end slid off when doing the simplest of cooking tasks with them. Just checked others in the store and they all came off with little pull so not a defective one we got but a bad design overall. We got a new pair of Zellers own brand and they work as they should. And they were 1/3 of the price! Recommend going with another band vs these Lagostino. Ours are now just part of the land-fill problem.
