Doesn't work like it should

Honestly, I love the kitchen aid mixers, but this shield is a joke. Partner and I got it in the mixer we bought last year. I'll also preface this by saying I also used industrial mixers at my last job
I was making a cheesecake a couple months ago and it didn't even remotely stop the liquid coming out the back when beating the ingredients together, so it gets all over the mixer. It also sucks if you can only have your mixer at a certain orientation, resulting in the chute to pour ingredients in being behind the main part of the mixer. It's also for some reason in the same spot as the knob right at the front of the mixer for attachments. Was baking a cake the other day and was trying so hard not to get things like flour all over the knob as I poured the ingredients in.
Another gripe I have is you have to take the shield off to even be able to lift the head, like to simply scrape the bowl. It already takes a bit of effort to put the shield on.
I'd rather be without the shield to make it easier to pour ingredients in and because it doesn't stop much from flying out anyway.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Doesn’t fit

I bought this last week for my KitchenAid Classic Mixer (4.5 quart bowl). The shield is way too big! I can barely get the shield on the bowl when the bowl is off the mixer. When I try to put the shield on the bowl while the bowl is on the mixer-forget about it! The hole for the mixer is too small and touches the mixer when the it is down. Super disappointing!
No, I do not recommend this product.
