    Kitchen Aid knife set

Knives are all pitting, rusting and handles are peeling. Called Kitchen aid, no Customer service at all , told there was only a 30 day warranty on paint peeling. Totally disgusted considering what these cost.

No, I do not recommend this product.

bought this set and love the colour and love that they are the sharpest knives I have ever had. Would definitely recommend them but would also say wait for them to go on sale. Think they are totally over priced for sure.

Q: What is the edge angle (for sharpening purpose)? 18 or 21 degrees? What kind of sharpener is recomended for the non professional? Diamond sharpeners are not appropriate for steel, making the edges very weak. Not many people know that and the knife's quality receive all the blame for edges that don't last!

    1 Answer
    • A: We recommend a 2 stage approach using a traditional steel sharpening rod. Stage 1 at 20 degree angle to shape the edge and then Stage 2 at a 15 degree angle to fine tune. If you do not feel comfortable using sharpening steel there are other handheld sharpeners on the market. We recommend using ones that offer multi-stage sharpening. Ie. Stage 1 diamond (for really dull knives to regain the shape of the edge), Stage 2 – tungsten – creates the perfect V-edge, and lastly Stage 3 – ceramic – used to provide final edge honing for perfect sharpness.
