These grips included a thumb warmer, the thumb warmer gets much hotter than the grips resulting in an uncomfortable thumb before the grips are warm.

Q: Do these wire direct to battery or does your machine have to have a 12v plug?

A: Wire to the battery. I actually wired to battery and ignition. That way it would not drain battery if left on.
