This Kidde 2-in-1 Smart Alarm with App is the industry's first cUL certified, all-in-one smart home safety device to integrate carbon monoxide (CO) detection with indoor air quality monitoring. If this smart carbon monoxide detector senses CO, it sounds an 85-decibel alarm, and sends an alert to your smartphone, even if you're not at home. With the Kidde HomeSafe feature, these Wi-Fi-enabled alarms connect to the Kidde app for added smart functionality, like real-time info on the alarm and friends & family mobile notifications.

Q: had a power outage the light went out, should the battery not put the light on ?
a year agoA: To maintain power as long as possible, the digital display will blank out unless there is an issue so it needs to alarm or if you press the test or peak level buttons.

Q: Will this read the carbon monoxide in the air or must alarm if levels get high enough for a longer period of time
a year agoA: Our CO alarms must meet CSA 6.19 which has alarms sounding in this manner: at 70 ppm it must sound within 60 to 240 minutes of constant exposure. At 150 ppm sound within 15 to 50 minutes and at 400 ppm, 5 to 15 minutes. The alarm simulates the absorption rate of the human body.
