Don't over pay.

If you're a knife guy you'll know that this knife is over priced. 1095 is a dated steel by todays standard. With steels like "MAGNACUT" (current steel pinnacle) and various "powered steels" being produced, 1095 just isn't worth it.
At $350 you're paying for brand recognition and the iconic 100 year+ history of "Horace Kephart" the designer of this knife and first bushcrafter.
The handles are plain "hardwood", again nothing fancy and can be found on much less expensive knives.
The sheath is nice, it's traditional but that's about it, it's a sheath with plastic inserts.
Over all, brands like Condor Tool & Knife offer hand forged knives with plenty of 1095 steel options along with modern Micarta handle scales or hardwood if desired at 1/3 the price with lifetime warranty. If you want even more less expensive knives that will let you survive in the wild you can look into Cold Steel.
The BK62 is a beautiful knife and if you don't care about the price go ahead, it's a great conversation piece if you do research on Mr.Kephart and see the great things he did at the turn of the century.
