Q: Can you use this to pressure fry fried chicken?
4 years agoA: The chicken wouldn’t be crispy. Usually there needs to be a little water in the pot, which would moisturize the skin of the chicken

Q: Can this be used for canning?
6 years agoA: The Instant Pot Viva series has not been tested by the USDA for food safety in pressure canning as it does not reach the required 15 PSI required for canning. Please refer to the 'USDA Complete Guide to Home Canning' for details.

7 years agoA: Great question, Bob! Although the Instant Pot Viva does not have a "Poultry" button, you are still able to cook chicken by using the "Pressure Cook" button followed by adjusting the cooking time according to your recipe. We hope this helps!

5 years agoA: Unfortunately, the Viva does not have an air fryer option. You would need to use the Duo Crisp as it has the air fryer option. You can also use our Instant Pot air fryer lid accessory.

Q: The instant pot duo viva is supposed to have easy seal lid with quick release button as described in instant pot website. I went to the store and saw no quick release button in 6qt display set as well as not on box. The 8qt has it. Why is that so?
5 years agoA: Hello Chris...The Display may have been the original configuration of the Viva. This may also be the case for the stores inventory. The Viva V2 is the latest model and has the extra sealing ring and the quick release button on the lid.
