Decent quality for the price

We've had this pool for 2 months now - I wanted to wait until the end of summer to review. Overall it's held up pretty well. There was a small leak from one of the filter hoses, which we patched with water-resistant tape. The pump itself is also leaking a tiny bit but it's very minor. Otherwise the liner, frame, and ladder have held up for the summer. It's a good size for 2-3 people, deep enough to float and hang out. We're hoping it'll still be usable next summer but at least we got one year so far.

Q: How do I know how much Chlorine I need to put in, and how often?

A: Just follow the directions on the package of whatever type of chlorine you decide to use (pucks or granular). You'll need to figure out the volume of water in your pool. Google pool volume calculator. Most of the chemicals that I have used create a ratio based on having 10000 litres in your pool, so you'll have to do some math. You don't need to be perfect but purchase some test strips to check your results daily until you find your pools "rhythm". I used to check daily when I first started out, now I check weekly. One thing I suggest is get your total alkalinity corrected right away. It will noticably effect how effective your chlorine is. Good Luck.

A: Bought this for my son’s family. When he set it up the pump suction hose leaked a lot at the pump. Looked at the instructions and found he had forgotten to put one adapter on the hose.

A: Honestly, this is our third summer with this exact pool and we have never disassembled it for the winter. we drain it a bit more than half way and put a winter cover on it that is weighted on the sides so it doesn't dip and collect snow. We've had absolutely zero issues with cracking or leaking at all. Just this winter we had a mouse eat a hole in one of the pump hoses because it wasn't put in a bin with the rest, but that's the only issue we've ever had.

Q: How often should I change the filter in the pump?

A: I clean it at least every week, it depends on how dirty your pool gets. The more you clean it, the better the filter pump works. You'll also have to buy less new filters the more you clean it. You can actually hear a difference in the pump noise when the filter starts to get too dirty.

A: I used those 2 x 2 interlocking foam pads that are usually used for kids floors. You can purchase them at CT, however I think it cost me over $100 for the 12ft pool. (Still cheaper than ridgid foam). It feels great on your feet, and I'm not worried about anything puncturing the lining.

A: Drain it out the drain hole with a hose to disperse the water and then I've found that a shop vac setup for water is fantastic.. and something you might have or borrow... the shop vac with a drain hole in the bottom is ideal otherwise it can get heavy to dump when the shop vac is full of water.
