Q: Can this rotary tool engrave simple shapes into small river stones? Slow is okay, capable is my concern.
2 months agoA: I believe it should as there are several bits. I purchased this for my son last Chrismas. If there isn't a bit in the kit for it they are available individually at CT or Dremel.

Q: Can this tool cut a bolt holding a toilet in place so I can put the cap on?
3 years agoA: Probably not. Its basically a cheap version of a dremel: very little torque. It would just stop spinning with a 1/4 inch bolt like that. I wouldnt. Get something stronger. AND apply penetrating oil to soften it up first.

3 years agoA: To remove grout, you need to use carbide accessories, such as sku 0544715, this type of carbide accessory needs to have a speed of 20000~25000RPM, the rotary tool machine of sku 3999528 can not achieve this speed and sku 3999528 does not include carbide accessories, you need to use other rotary tool machines that can achieve this speed, such as sku 544892(Mastercraft 1.4A Rotary Tool with Accessory Kit, 250-pc). Sku 3999528 is mainly used for hobbies and light duty fixing.

4 years agoA: This Hurricane Rotary tool is with 0.7A motor, and this low power motor is designed for light duty entry-level hobby jobs, which provides great precision for cutting, grinding, polishing, sharpening and drilling on plastic, metal sheet, and soft wood. To cut on coconut shell, you may need tool with high power motor, we recommend 054-4892 (Mastercraft 1.4A Rotary Tool with Accessory Kit) or 054-1291 (Dremel 3000-1/24 variable speed rotary tool kit, 1.2A).
