Surprisingly Good

This is an unbelievable value if you get it on sale as I did. If it had been full price I likely wouldn't have purchased it. It has a nice weight to it and feels very solid. Arrived extremely sharp and the fit and finish is excellent. Made with AUS 8 steel which is a solid steel in the upper end of the budget range and excellent value at this price point (when it's on sale). The handle looks quite large in relation to the relatively short blade size and a bit weird to be honest, but it's extremely comfortable to hold. Because it's so long you could hold it at the end and use it for some light chopping. Or you could hold it closer and do some fine cutting/whittling. The sheath is stitched leather, but with no rivets, so I don't know how long it will last, but at this price point a leather sheath is great. All in all a solid knife.

The knife is good. The sheath is very bad. While hiking the knife cut threw the sheath and cut my North face hiking pants. It would be great if they could make a better sheath.

Bought this knife two years ago and here are my thoughts. -The steel is great for keeping an edge and takes one VERY well. -Can be used for light bushcraft, even light chopping if need be. No damage to the edge as a result. -The micarta handle scales feel rough at first but become smooth over time, this is the only knife I own with micarta scales so I couldn't say wether this is normal or not. Overall, I'd say it's a great knife for fine tasks and is capable of more than you'd think. Attached are photos of the spine width and a close up of the scales.

Materials and workmanship quite good for a lower priced offshore produced knife. Micarta scales are quite nice, good edge on the blade out of the box. At under $30 on sale, this is a good deal.

je n'ai jamais acheter de couteaux cher canadian tire care je n'avai pas confience dans la calite des materiaux.j'ai achater plusieurs couteaux dans ma vie pour la chasse la peche et le plain aire. stupefaction le couteau que j'ai acheter ait de loin le meieur que j'ai u . ausiteau sorti de l'ambalage j'ai fait le teste de la feuille de papier,wow aucun des couteaux acheter avant na cette qaliter de coupe,avan j'aitais oubliger de les aigises pour avoir une bonne coupe mais pas celui la excelante lame d'acier inox tres bonne epaiseur. le parit merci pour cette caliter le prochain ces cher canadian tire que j,irer ces certain.encore une foix merci pour la calite de ces couteau d'exception merci.
