Decent gloves: not great for touchscreen access

Purchased for a gift. Results: "warm enough for a short time outside in the cold temperatures. The finger pad for touchscreen use is ineffective as it is too far at the tip, where the finger does not fully reach and folds if tried. The thumb pad works well at warm temperatures, but not at all in the cold. Probably best as driving gloves".

Although these gloves are considered to be "THERMAL INSULATED" my experience as been that the cold goes completely through them. I have had to wear other gloves inside them to keep my hands warm. I would not give them a high recommendation at all.

Q: How cold? What temperature are these gloves good to? How cold before my fingers freeze on my electric wheelchair?

A: The answer is that unlike winter boots or some outerwear, there is no standard way to predict how cold it can be before one’s fingers freeze. Everybody is different and depending on many factors including circulation, people will get freeze in their fingers at different temperatures. Some people can stay out for much longer than other people. These particular gloves are very comfortable and quite flexible. They will generally keep you warm but if it is very cold and quite windy it would be very difficult to predict. We wish there was a way to actually predict and measure, but unfortunately there is not.
