Horizon 7.0AT Treadmill

When I first got the Horizon 7. 0AT, I was genuinely impressed. It connected seamlessly with my Apple Watch, ran quietly, and felt like a great value for the price. I liked it so much I bought a second one for my wife. Unfortunately, that’s where the problems began. After just a few months, both treadmills started abruptly stopping mid-run—no warning, no error, just a hard stop. Horizon support worked with me for a bit and eventually sent replacement top consoles for both units. Mine has been stable since the swap, but my wife’s treadmill still suffers from the same issue. Now, nine months in, my unit has developed a persistent squeaking noise I can’t eliminate, and the hydrolock mechanism that’s supposed to hold the treadmill upright when folded has failed. I submitted a new support ticket weeks ago and haven’t heard back. Meanwhile, my wife’s treadmill remains unresolved. I used a competitor’s treadmill for over 20 years without a single issue. I switched to Horizon because the other brand’s proprietary system didn’t sync with my watch, and Horizon’s price point was appealing. But I’ve learned the hard way—sometimes “too good to be true” really is. This won’t be a 20-year relationship with Horizon. Disappointing.

If I could give 0 stars I would. This treadmill is garbage. I had it less then 6 months and started having problems. Keeps stopping mid walk and resets. Fixed twice and today it happened again. Don't waste your money,

I have waited to review my 7. 0 AT treadmill until using it for a few months so I could check on any quirks. I'm training for an upcoming Half Marathon and needed a reliable treadmill to use during the colder months. I've been happy with it overall, and it seems to be holding up well while running on average 25 miles per week for about 3 months. Sharing some of my thoughts to assist others: 1. I received a notification to oil the belt, and it was extremely challenging for me (maybe it's me) as it took about 90 min to get it completed. When the delivery team set it up, I believe the belt was set up slightly to the right. Very difficult for me to get it back in order without the "rubbing sound" of the belt against the side of the running path. Very frustrating and not looking forward to needing to oil it again! 2. The fan is not very strong, so I use a floor fan to get the breeze I need. 3. I have a tendency to bump my hands into either of the incline or speed handles which changes the settings. Again, maybe just me, but it happens enough. 4. It's the model I need to train as I don't really need a lot of "bells and whistles" - a good return on my investment. 5. I would definitely recommend getting the white glove delivery as the treadmill is extremely heavy and difficult to move. A good investment in the health of your back!

I bought this treadmill specifically for the 15% incline feature. I am very happy with my purchase! I am able to work out at home at any time, this treadmill is quiet. I work midnights so on my days off I work out during the AM. I have not woken anyone up with this treadmill it's awesome!

I have had this treadmill since 2020 without the Apple Watch connection. It is the closest treadmill to a commercial gym, really! Including width and length. I easily treat it once every three months to keep the tread running smoothly. This is a great price when you compare other home treadmills. Good price, sturdy, reliable! I use it for warm ups, runs when I can ‘t leave the house, lateral skipping and backward elevated walking. (And was easy to set up)
