Je n'ai pas eu l'occasion d'évaluer ce produit pour une réelle fuite d'eau. Lors d'un test similé il a bien performé. Possible aussi de vérifier à distance la température et humidité de la pièce. Assez facile d'installation. Recommandé.

A: I have installed mine for sump well place where temp is around 20DegC and after 2 and half years battery life is showing 50%. If this helps.

Q: Can I choose only receive 1 type of alarm. Could I choose only to receive the App notification rather than the audible alarm or only choose the Audible alarm instead of the App notification?

A: I have this sensor. I do not think you can turn off the audible alarm but I would think you can diable the app notification by simply not downloading the app. ot turn off notifications for this app in the phone settings. It does send an email notification.

Q: Can this product be linked to both US and Canadian phone numbers? We have a seasonal residence in Ontario but live in the United States for our primary residence, thank you

A: The device does not send alerts to your phone number. It sends alerts to the app and an email alert as long as you have an internet connection. However, you can have your emails forwarded to your phone as a text for when you are not connected to internet. Google 'forward emails to text" In your email software settings you would you will need to setup a filter, rule or condition effectively telling your email software program that when you receive an email from your water detector (<customer-service@resideo.com>), it should then be forwarded to for example Telus: (7095551234]@msg.telus.com). Each phone carrier has a similiar address being your phone number followed by "@msg.telus.com", for me. The email will then show up as a text on your phone.

Q: We just had a flood in our basement because the power went out (heavy rain/wind storm). Obviously the sump pump didn’t work. Love the fact that is is battery operated. If power is out and modem is down will we still get a notification ?

A: Will the detector work without Wi-Fi? - YES. The detector will sound a 100dB alarm when the detector senses water (through the built-in sensors or through the cable sensor). However, you will not receive in-app, push, and/or email notifications without a Wi-Fi connection. The unfortunate thing about sump pumps is they are powered by electricity. The water leak detector is a common device to use in this area of the home, but without power there is no alert to the APP. There is an audible alarm, though.

Q: I want to buy this for setting up near my sump hole. If the power fails then my wifi hub will not be working. How do I get notifications in the event of a power failure? Or do I need a battery backup on my wifi hub too? Thanks

Q: so it will send alarms immediately once the temp drops below the set point,someone in the reviews said it can only send temp alerts 3 times per day is this correct. to check your temp anytime you just have to open the app correct.

A: Hi Matt! Thank you for your question. The Resideo Honeywell Home Wi-Fi Water Leak and Freeze Detector will send an alert if the temperature drops below the alert set point you have setup in the Honeywell Home app. For example, if your low temperature set point is 45 degrees Fahrenheit and the temperature goes below that at any point, you will receive an in-app notification and an email depending on your alert preferences. The Water Leak and Freeze Detector can be set up to "check in" 1 to 3 times per day. If the conditions where the detector is placed do not trigger any alerts, this information will be updated in the app graphs accordingly. Temperatures and humidity conditions are updated hourly, though they won't necessarily reflect in the graphs. If you check your app for a temperature reading, it will be the temperature the device read within that hour. Q: how often can i check the temp when i am gone and how soon will it notifi me once the temp has dipped below the set number

A: Hello there! You will be able to check the temperature registered by the Water Leak Detector as many times a day as you want, you would just have to log in to your Honeywell Home account on the app (having the detector previously registered). The app will notify you immediately once the temperatures goes below or above the set limits via email and push notification (you must remain logged in to the account), as long as the detector is connected to WiFi and your phone with the app has internet access (WiFi or mobile data). Q: Can I attach extra sensors? My basement is hardwired for sensors, presently have a monitor that works on regular phone service.

A: The Honeywell Lyric Wi-Fi Water Leak & Freeze Detector comes with a 4 feet water sensing cable. Additional cables can be added to extend the sensor length to 500ft. The entire length of the cable sensor detects water.- Jerry
