A: I agree with Compufly. Heritage The Rock is a premium product. I have the 12 inch frying pan and it's the best cookware item I own. It surpasses my expectations no matter the size of mess I make. I've given it as wedding and housewarming gifts and am getting one for my mother-in-law for the holidays. How it compares to the Starfrit version, I'm not sure but I can't see how the pan I have can be anywhere close in category to that budget brand.

Q: What is the non stick material or chemical? Is it teflon? What creates this non stick feature? Curious as I am trying to avoid carcinogenic materials.

A: Not sure the capacity I can give U measurements so U can figure out the capacity. Its a big frying pan for sure........3.5" high.....10" across by the measurements - it holds a lot of food! My experience - it's heavy but wud I buy it again.....for sure, it's skookum! good luck, I'm extremely pleased with the pan - very heavy
