Really like these knives. Super sharp. I like that the block isn’t wood so it won’t get scratched up. I also like that there are 3 extra knife spots! Which I’ve never had before in a block!

Q: What are the empty slots in the block supposed to be used for? I just bought this set and was surprised to find that the block has three additional slots. I checked and I have all the knives. Unfortunately I threw out the box before noticing the extra spaces.

Q: This is posted as a "14-piece Set", what is the 14th 'piece'? In a previous Q&A: "Included is: 3" Paring Knife 6" Utility Knife 7" Santoku Knife 8" Carving Knife 8" Chef's Knife 8" Bread Knife Steak Knives x 6 Knife Block" This is a total of 13 pieces -- including the knife block.

A: As a general rule of thumb, Henckels products with a one-person logo are made in their factory in China. Henckels products with a two-person logo are made in their factory in Germany.

Q: Are these knives Dishwasher Safe? or will they rust? Miracle Blades and many other stainless steel knives have received some rusting spots from dishwasher use. Can anyone tell me if they have had any troubles with the Henckel brand. Thanks

A: Dishwasher detergents will dull the knives over time. It is not recommended to put knives of this type in the dishwasher
