terrible doorbell

First of all, the sound is horrid. what happened to regular cute ding dong???... and the whole thing just died in less than 6 months of use. i tried to change the batteries in the doorbell and in the receiver... dead dead dead. i am very disappointed that it cost this much for absolute garbage!!

Seems to penetrate brick fine, that was what I was worried about. Other than that the speaker sounds a bit cheap but it gets the job done

This product worked for less than a year. replaced the batteries and NOTHING!
i can choose the chimes but the remote buttons do not sound the doorbell
No, I do not recommend this product.

Q: Is this doorbell kit totally battery operated or is the push button battery and the indoor chime a wall plug in?

A: It is totally battery operated. I have the chime unit stuck to the wall above my hall closet. I am very impressed with it and I can hear the chime if I'm upstairs or in the basement. Highly recommended.
