    Caused fuel injector (cylinder 2) to stick

    A day after putting this in with a full tank of gas, my car hesitated to run. It would have a persistent misfire in cylinder 2 despite installing new spark plugs and rotating the ignition coils. The misfires were bad—the car put itself in limp mode and the engine was violently shaking. It genuinely felt as if the car were about to give up on me. I had to have my car towed as it was parked at work. I revved the engine a few times and let the car sit overnight, to have it work properly again. Put this if you have a newer (or recently carbon cleaned) vehicle. If you put it in a car with significant carbon buildup, this product may dissolve or dislodge that debris onto the injectors. If my case, I should’ve just went the walnut blast route. But I guess in this products defence, it does work. I guess it worked too well in my case.

    No, I do not recommend this product.

    Hello, hank you for your feedback. When used correctly according to directions, the Gumout Fuel Injector Cleaner cannot cause injector stickiness. It is possible that your vehicles injector was failing, however this product will not alleviate the developing problem. Thank you

    I added this to my empty gas tank and then filled it up. I detected a slight smell for the first 30 minutes of driving so I can assume it was working. I asked my mechanic why my car engine was humming. He said it was probably because it didn’t know the words.
