Not worth the money.

The unit I bought is junk. The string keeps coming out on its own to ridiculously long lengths after a few seconds no matter what I do. Will never purchase this brand again. I bought it on sale at a good price ... you get what you pay for I guess.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Hello len1111. Should the Greenworks string trimmer consistently experience excessive line feed or overfeeding, several potential factors warrant investigation. Some common culprits for excessive line feed include, incorrect trimmer line size or type being installed. The trimmer line may be wound incorrectly on the spool. The trimmer head itself might be damaged or worn out, causing the internal parts to malfunction and requiring a complete replacement. This occurs when the trimmer head is held too close to hard objects that can break the line such as brick, cement, rocks, or fencing. A: I found the GreenWorks product # for this trimmer in the owner's manual, which I was able to download from the CT web page advertising this grass trimmer. It is 21272. The other number offered by another person: 60-2298-6 is actually CT's own stock number. You will notice that all the trimmers that CT sells always have a "60" prefix: 60-... .

A: Hello PeaceBaker - The Greenworks 5.5 Amp String Grass Trimmer has been optimized for this lighter 0.65 gauge line. Anything thicker will adversely affect the tool’s performance and runtime.

Q: Where can I get a replacement for the green lid to the line spool? The green lid to the line spool broke and the spool will not stay in the trimmer. Hard to find replacement for the whole cap & spool set.
