Greenworks Model 20142 - No replacements parts available

Bought from Canadian Tire. Had the pole chain saw for many years but hardly used. Well past the 4-year warranty period. This year, when I used the chain keeps on slipping off. Replaced the saw chain a couple of times and the problem persists. Called Greenworks for support. Not much help for my problem. Then I found out there are no replacement parts available for this model.
No, I do not recommend this product.

This little pile chainsaw works great it cuts everything I need to cut but always fill with oil every 15 min great product and it was half price

I just bought the saw a few days ago and have not used it yet but just some comments about the purchase so far. First I was very disappointed that the carrying bags are not being give with the saw, its advertised all over in the adds and the manual and I was really looking forward to having one to keep saw in. Second the blade end of saw seems very heavy and would give a person tired arms very quickly if used for any extended period of time. Lastly I was very disappointed with the length only 8 ft. I can only reach the lower branches by extending my arms overhead and standing on my toes and I am over 6 foot. I checked on line and found an extra extension for $100 plus shipping, way more than I payed for the whole saw. If all these issues where rectified this saw would probably be a 6 star, looking forward to trying it, but sure could use one or two extra extensions.

Love this saw

I’ve been using it to clear brush and small trees as well as pruning one large apple tree. It does a great job, tons of power. The only downside is what other posters also have mentioned, it’s very thirsty for chain oil. It uses it way faster than any of my other chainsaws used. Very easy to tighten the chain, and you will have to every three or four chain oil fill-ups. I highly recommend this machine

Je le recommande très pratique et plus économique que des locations occasionnelles !! Pas pour un usage intensif mais très honnête comme produits et même de qualité supérieur a ce que j aurais imaginé avant l’ouverture de la boite. Très compacte se range facilement après un démontage rapide. La chaine a tendance à prendre du jeu il faut resserrer régulièrement .... Mais facile et rapide a monter et démonter. J ai acheté le dernier article sur la tablette dans une boite ouverte mais refermer avec du tape .... Sac déchirer et pas d’instruction a l intérieur !! CA serait juste agréable que si Canadian Tire referme une boite ouverte pour la mettre en vente que le tout soit vérifié et identifié correctement .... Préciser ce qui manque, ce qui est brisée, ou autres particularités !! Cette fois j ai tout gardé c était le dernier et l’outil est facile d’utilisation et le sac de rangement j n’y tenais pas particulièrement

A: Hello Boyd, Yes, it's quite possible. The chainsaw will not cut correctly and the chain/chainsaw will damage. The bar has an illustration of how the position of the chain should face. A: I believe the correct chain is actually . Found on Canadian Tire web site . The number quoted 054-5603 is discontinued . FEATURES Oregon Chain S33 is compatible with Greenworks 6.5A Electric Polesaw (054-5759) Designed for low kick 8-in S chain

A: This is a corded Polesaw. The extention cord does not come with it.

A: The general rule is that a saw can cut twice its blade length. Therefore in this instance it is an 8” Polesaw which would be capable of cutting something of 16” in diameter. We always caution you that when using chainsaws, and polesaws especially, that your fully read your manuals as there are many scenarios of cutting which are discussed based on the specific function, etc.
