C est absolument faux Je possede deux piles de la souffleuse àneige 60V e cette pile ne rentre pas dans la boite de cette pelle àneige Donc impossible de lutiliser Je n aipas lintention d acheterune autre pile ... je dois donc vous retourner cette pelle tres déçue de votremensonge u

Works well but heavy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This "shovel" came with the 80v snow blower package I purchased which I have left another review on. My review on this shovel is from using it this season.
I have used the shovel to get "trim" areas hard to get to with the blower (small walks and narrow areas) and have also used it to clear the entire driveway (3 car drive approx 25' long - standard city lot setback).
It works well on small areas, and is fine for removing entire drive if the snow is light (2-3 inches). It can be difficult to maneuver as it must be pointed in the direction you want the snow be thrown so working around walls, etc can be a challenge.
The main reason for the mediocre rating is weight. By the time I am finished with the work I am almost as tired as just using a regular shovel due to weight and weird maneuvering to keep the snow being thrown in the correct direction. Since this was essentially a free item in the kit it's worth keeping but I would not recommend purchasing one. I would rather but a light weight snow blower. I think it would be less strenuous and do a better job.
No, I do not recommend this product.

I purchase the shovel early before the snow comes. I haven't used the shovel yet but once I did I'll be happy to post a reveiw regarding shovel and how the tool is working.

A: You want amp-hours, not amps that determine run-time. The tool uses the various amp-hour 80 Volt batteries. The model that comes with a battery has a 2 ah battery and it should do the job as the area you will cover is not large. If you don't already own a battery, then don't buy the one without a battery. Look at the Greenworks Canada site.

A: Hi Zippy. As this unit is a tool only unit and no battery or charger is included. run-time would depend on the amperage battery you may have. This unit can take any 80V battery 2.0Ah and higher, the run-time would depend on the load applied to the unit as well. Depending on the amperage size, you can range from 15 minutes to 50 minutes of run-time. We hope this helped!

Q: I got one, it works great! But it throws snow too far, more than 24 feet, so easy to throw snow from my drive way to the public street or to my neighbor's drive way. Is there a way to control the distance, say about 15 feet? Thanks!

A: Hello Jason. Thank you for your question. Unfortunately, this particular kit is a tool only which means it does not come with a battery. Tool-only units are ideal for customers who already own a tool in the same voltage platform and do not require an additional battery or charger. If this would be your first tool in this voltage platform we would recommend that you purchase a unit with a battery and charger included. It is stated in the description of the product that it comes with a battery and charger.
