Q: What’s the height and width of this bin? I need it to store my green compost bin occasionally when the smell escapes the seal. Also, does the lid seal the smell out? Thanks

A: The size is 13 inches at bottom across top 17 inches inside measurements and 23 top to bottom And when kitchen garbage in summertime is in can for 3 days there is no smell until you remove lid Lid snaps on quite tight

Very good trashcan for the money, lid fits very snuggly, does not come off easily, to keep predators out. I use this can in the fall in my garage for my compost bucket. When the bears come around, they now have nothing to get into!
