Alot easier to get the backing off while the tape is not warm at all,so I had to cut pieces I needed to length cool them down ,start a corner then warm it up to finish...tricky..

Q: Once the tape is applied, will it damage vinyl flooring or leave residue if it needs to be removed?

A: Gorilla Mounting Tape is a permanent tape and may cause surface damage or leave a residue if the object is removed. If the object must be removed, we suggest prying from one edge. Solvents or adhesive remover products may also be helpful in removing leftover adhesive. Make sure to follow solvent manufacturer's directions and always test an inconspicuous area to ensure that surface or finish is not damaged.
