This is a very good lawn fertilizer. We apply it three times during the growing season and the lawn greens up quick in the spring.
One caveat. It appears that CIL has discontinued production of this fertilizer and replaced it with ones with lower nitrogen content. I discovered this when I visited the CIL website to get fertilizer spreader settings.
My advice. Buy it while you can!

Bag full of wet fertilizer!

Just bought this bag and went to apply it, only to find it is soaking wet! No holes in the bag that I can find, but because of the extreme amount of moisture in the bag, there were a LOT of clumps that I had to break up to work with the spreader. Still had to go step on clumps on the lawn to break them up. Better not find out that my lawn got burned from this!

Q: Seeing as I can't find the starter fertilizer in a 25kg bag... Will this work great for new seeding?

A: This product will work for new seeding, but the increased levels of phosphorous found in the starter fertilizer will establish stronger roots on new grass. Phosphorous is the second value in N-P-K which can be found on the front of the fertilizer packaging.

Q: when is a good time to start to fertilize my lawn with Golfgreen 30 0 3 lawn fertilizer ?

A: Slow acting fertilizer can be applied at any time but mineral uptake is greatest from May through July or late fall once plants are dormant. Please follow directions in package.
