So far its perfect

I bought the iQ3500 for my off-grid cabin to help charge my battery bank when solar is not an option. I also use it to run a small a/c unit when its hot. I have over 120hrs on it and have never had an issue. Its very quiet and has never given me any issues. For what I need it to do it seems perfect.

Trip planned boondocking for part of it, all is well until it's not! The Sun didn't shine so no solar load. Backup gen wouldn't pick up load.
Generac to the rescue!! The iQ5200 worked flawlessly, and saved us!

Can’t find a parts manual anywhere. I need to replace the side enclosure panel. Other than that it seems to be working fine. Just need to go camping and try it out

Generator is quiet and started on 3rd pullstart. Instruction misleading on electric start! Shows how to hook battery at battery studs! Cost me $20 to find out line behind battery was unplugged! Already hooked to fully charged battery!! Quietly does job using very little gas, haven't tried LP yet. WELL satisfied with it! Used to trim all my hedges about 4 hours, some 150 ft from a plug in! BLESSINGS!!!

A: Generac model #7127 uses gasoline. Updating or modifying the unit could compromise the warranty. We recommend working with an authorized Generac dealer as they will be better able to assist you. A: That’s a fairly vague question. Are you concerned about it running in the weather or what exactly is the concern about the snow storms? The generator works great to run anything that fits within it wattage parameters. If you need to run a whole house I would recommend a non inverter style. The General 7500E is great for that.

Q: This generator doesn't say "cold start" Does that mean it couldn't be used in the winter in Nova Scotia I would be storing it in my outside shed. From what I read about generators it should say cold start.

A: Generac model #7127 * Operating Temperature Range: -13 deg. C (8 deg. F) to 40 Deg. C (104 Deg. F). When operated above 25 deg. C (77 deg. F) there may be a decrease in power. ** Maximum wattage and current are subject to, and limited by, such factors as fuel Btu content, ambient temperature, altitude, engine condition, etc.. Maximum power decreases about 3.5% for each 1,000 feet above sea level; and will also decrease about 1% for each 6° C (10° F) above 16° C (60° F) ambient temperature.
