Bad quality

I bought this microwave and it completely died right after the 1 year warranty had expired. I never really liked it because it was way too bulky and you could not select only seconds in it, it was either minutes or the intervals of 30 secs. Also, changing the power levels never really made a difference on the power level of the microwave. Complete waste of money.

Can't get parts

GE Canada no longer makes this model and does not stock parts for it. When using it in convection oven mode the glass turntable broke and now the unit is unrepairable as no one has a part for it. Don't waste your money

Works well

I purchased this microwave a couple of months ago and am truly satisfied with it. It works well to heat things up as well as to cook things like an oven. I have used the broil feature a few times and get perfect results. I am very happy with this microwave.

Q: What is the required clearance around the unit?

A: Min. clearance 3" on all sides with one side open (ie. it cannot be built in). There should be 12" above the oven. Note it does get very hot on the left side when in convection or grill mode, do not store combustible materials or plastic near the side.
