Locks itself

The knob somehow locks itself. I always have to have a spare key in my pocket, even just to get something out of my vehicle. Now it only half locks when I need it to lock. Turn the knob one way and it’s locked, turn it the other way and it opens. This is the worst lock I’ve purchased

Door locks itself

Living in cold climates it is hard to find a lock that doesn’t freeze. Bought this to replace a frozen entry door lock plus it has 2 keyed alike knobs…perfect. Except, a certain way the handle is turned, the door locks. I entered my home, closed the door, mister tried to enter behind me…door was locked. I left to go to my garage, returned to locked door. Always have to have the key in my pocket. Not good
No, I do not recommend this product.

I bought a couple of these to change the locks on the house. They mounted easily, lock and unlock fine. My big complaint about them is that the heads of the through-bolts project out enough that when you grasp and turn the knob, you scrape your knuckles on the screw heads.
