Q: The pictures show DI (down imaging), does this unit do this out of box?

A: No. You will have to add a transducer such as the GT 20 in order to get ClearVu sonar on this unit.

Q: Hello, If I purchase the Garmin Striker Vivid 5 ice fishing bundle, what would the part and model # be for the transom mount transducer and extra power cable and mount for the boat be? and does CTC sell it?

A: Unfortunately these accessories are not sold at Canadian Tire. Here are the Garmin part numbers - Mount: 010-12439-01, Power Cable: 010-12199-04, GT20-TM transducer: 010-01960-00

Q: What is the difference between Garmin Striker Vivid 5 Ice fishing bundle and the Garmin Vivid 5cv GPS fish finder with GT20-TM transducer? I want to be able to use it in a boat in summer and on ice in winter? I know the second unit needs a kit

A: Hello, there is no difference in the actual fish finder - it’s the same device. The difference is the ice bundle comes in a portable kit with a bag, battery, charger and a transducer designed specifically for ice fishing. The other kit comes with everything you’d need for a boat install, including a transom mount transducer - so to use that for ice you’d need to buy portable kit and ice transducer separately. Or, you buy the ice kit and then purchase a transom mount transducer, extra power cable and mount for the boat (recommended).
