I use the light switch on my ceiling fan a lot. Every couple years the chain breaks, and it always breaks inside the switch. I would give 5 stars as far as ease of installation and the function of the switch. For the price I really shouldn't complain. But I would pay more for a switch that doesn't break.

Good Value Yet Hard to Install…..

Misleading item “Title”: “ GARDNER BENDER GSW-39 3-Way Easy to Install Fan and ……….” NOT EASY especially if you try to install w/o removing the installed ceiling fan. I found it very cramped to install even when the unit is partially disassembled and removed from ceiling. Good value (inexpensive) compared to four wire switches. Note: Remove the old failed switch to determine if this switch is suitable before purchase.
