Product Details

Gardner Bender Xtreme Terminals are constructed with Heat Shrink Insulation. They are adhesive lined to waterproof and environmentally seal electrical connections when crimped and heated. They insulate and protect connections from wire pullout, moisture intrusion and abrasion. Terminal kit has 24-pieces with assorted 22- 10 AWG butt splices.

The crimping is great, when it works. Unfortunately most of the time, even with a crimping tool, the wires do escape. But the idea of having it integrated with heat shrinking tubes helps a lot. A bit on the expensive side.

Q: It mentions crimping and solder. Which is it?

A: This product is a crimp style butt splice with a heat shrink cover. You will a need a crimping tool and a torch. You will need to crimp the butt splice connector and then heat shrink after crimping. The reason we call out soldering is because the item is listed in multiple UL files as crimp and solder.
