Works good but be very careful not to kink it.

I had purchased two hoses, one was great and works well. The second one broke in two pieces the second time I used it. I had noticed a sharp kink in it when opening the package which is likely the cause of the break. I strongly recommend that all kinks be avoided.

Best soaker hose on the market! This beads the water as needed to prevent leaves burning on your plants. Better than the flat soaker hoses. Plus convenience of attachments to other Gardena products

Do not crease the hose. It will spray and leak badly from crease. Mine came with a small crease about #' from the end. It sprayed about 2 ft into the air. Luckily it was close enough to the end that I could shorten hose. Too much trouble to take it back.

Cracks/ holes after 1 week of use.

I bought 2, unfortunately both got large cracks/holes in them after using them for a week which was disappointing. Not sure what caused the cracks/ holes as they were placed in the same place for the week before I noticed the 2 spots that had all the water pouring out of them. 5 stars for Canadian tire for the excellent return policy and allowing me to return them. I will say I liked the quick connect gardena hose connections.

A: You don't have to shut off the water hose, only it will be hard to connect it to an other unit.

A: No, not for washing cars.. The soaker hose is porous, it leaks out water all along its length. You could water lawns with it but you would have to lay out the hose all over the lawn, the water seeps out, it doesn't spray out.

A: Gardena fittings require adapters to connect to other types of fittings, however one end of this hose comes with said adapter so it can attach to a tap or other hose. as long as it is another 5/8" hose it should fit.

A: Yes it can, but when I tried this, the second segment had very little water flow making it basically useless.

Q: What connector is needed for the exit end of the hose to stop the water? (If no attachment is being used) The one I purchased flows like a hose. The easy connect fitting doesn’t work as an end cap/stop like a typical soaker hose.

A: I would return this asap. The hose I bought last year only lasted a couple weeks before bulging out in places and having major leaks. There was no consistency.

A: The flow rate re our weeping hose is 10-15 litre/per hour/per meter depending on the temperature and the pressure. The pressure should be between 43.5 psi to 72.5 psi.
