Q: do they contain treated woods and scraps from construction, demolition of buildings, decks etc? is there a possibility it contqins CCA? yes or no? what chemical/substance is used to dye black mulch?

A: This year's mulch appears to be the cleanest yet, I have seen no recycled material and detect no dyes or chemicals of any kind. The best batch in 5 years.

Q: I bought this natural mulch after reading how it's good to put some natural mulch product in the bottom of containers, before adding the planting soil. Can anyone teller me whether this is a good idea or not? Is it a suitable product for this?

A: • This mulch is manufactured from pallet planks that are no longer suitable to be re-cycled into a pallet • Our supplier has confirmed that they do not use pressure treated wood products that typically contain CCA • The black mulch is coloured with a product that derives its black colour from carbon black
