Q: can it scrape ice under the snow. does it scratch the driveway

A: It absolutely scrapes up ice under packed snow. We've used this for 2 Winnipeg winters and never had a better shovel. We have a concrete driveway and never see any scratching on it. It's a solid, reliable shovel.
