Q: Any reason cannot be used on top of door ? Have a twisted steel door with gap on top non hinge side , can see daylight and smoke from neighbour's wood stove comes in our home . Better off using a more heavy duty wratherstripping or ?

A: We have this installed on the bottom of the door. It drags a bit so you know the seal is pretty good. It keeps the draft out. I don't see why you wouldn't be able to use it on the top of the door, but it is not opaque, so a bit of light might still come through.
