Much easier to move, but is heavyer

This tank is much easier to move around. It is heavier than an equivalent tank and is quite a bit more expensive. It also only has the old screw in style of fitting instead of the newer quick connect fitting, but I need the old fitting, so it worked perfect for me.

Excellent Tanks, but...

I bought two of these propane tanks specifically for transporting horizontally, under the tonneau cover of my pickup, and the tanks are perfect for this use... They even fit side to side. The big problem is that the manufacturing date was 2 years old, and they are only good for 10 years! I spoke with the manager of the store, and they were unwilling to discount the purchase price. When you spend over a thousand dollars and lose 20 percent of the service life right from the start, it seems quite unreasonable on CT's part. The warehouse confirmed that the tanks arrived at the store in November 2023, and therefore, they should only have been 3 months old, not two years. I will be notifying Flame King as to their distributor's (CT) problem. Great tanks, but check the dates!

Great if you value wheels, handles, horizontal use

I switched to this 100lb propane tank on wheels rather than 20lb BBQ tanks to heat my RV during the fall. Although I could buy non-cart 100lb tanks for less, I am happy to have paid a premium to get this tank with built-in wheels, handles at both ends, and ability to use horizontally. I can easily get this in/out of my pick up-bed with wheels going in first. The gauge is relatively useless - when full, it says full, when empty it says empty, and the rest of the time it is in the middle and does not move.

Yes, I recommend this product.

A: It’s important to understand that “horizontal” means that it is transported or stored and used horizontally on the wheels and legs, with the valve oriented toward the top.
