Certification was a year old, so a 10th of the like was already expired. There was no way to check the date before they brought it from their storage area.

A: The valve on the top of the 100lb tank will not accept a typical 3/8" quick connect barbeque hose fitting. This tank's valve is an internally threaded LP Tank POL Service Valve. Purchase of LP Tank POL service valve to QCC1 (Type 1) outlet adaptor will allow connection of the tank to a barbeque. Based on the height of this tank, your barbeque may also require a longer hose c/w regulator.

Q: Will the "MASTER Chef Hose & Adapter, 10-ft #085-1084-2" be sufficient, in addition to the standard regulator and hose that comes with the barbeque, to attach this propane tank?

A: We cannot speak to other products and also, other BBQ grills etc. These are questions that need to be directed to the appliance manufacturer that you are trying to connect the 100 Lb propane cylinder to.

Q: It was recently said "These are larger tanks with no check valve and no OPD". A previous question "Does this tank have overfill protection?" was answered "Yes, it is incorporated in the valve". What is the definitive answer on OPD, yes or no?

A: 100 Lb cylinders do not come with and OPD valve. Just a standard POL valve.
