    False alarms waking up in middle of night.

    these alarms were installed when I got my basement built and since then they have gone off like 10 times at least specially in the middle of the night which are false alarms . Replacing all of these with Kidde alarms. Stay away from these.

    I bought a two alarms and one was expired as it ring 5 times. I was disappointed about this I c ok u ld nott t the bill yet. Also have not seen flashing yet as I am Deaf.

    Garbage

    Had four installed by an electrician and all four failed within a few weeks. One did not survive the length of the reno so the electrician could replace it (it has since failed too). The others lasted 2-6 months but I have no receipts to seek a refund.

    Do Not buy! They claim 10 year lifespan, but that’s a lie. I have 10 alarms in my house that were installed by the builder and they are dropping like flies one after the other due to failed back up Batteries. It’s only been 4 years! I can’t file a warranty claim as I do not have receipts, but who would have thought that was something I would have needed to get from the builder. I feel trapped by First alert as I do not want to have to get an electrician to rewire all of the smoke alarms for a different brands plugs.

    Last 3 years and have to replace AGAIN. Last ones lasted 5 years.. too expensive to be constantly replacing.
