Dehydrate with no fuss or mess!

I have owned an Excalibur dehydrator for many years. I like it so much that I ordered another for myself and one for a friend. I use it mostly for drying apples every year for a school fundraiser and my husband makes beef jerky! Easy to operate, reliable and creates a great product. I highly recommend this appliance!

The fan is very loud, there is no timer, and the build quality is very cheap. I am repeatedly surprised at the disparity between the price and quality. Haven't ever had another dehydrator, but I assume there are products where quality matches price better.

Much louder than the older model

It is MUCH LOUDER than the model I bought 20 years ago. The fan rattles instead of just a pleasant low hum. I can't sit in the same room with it and do regular activities. Haven't decided yet what to do with it. When I use it, I have to take it outside which is super inconvenient.
