USA Made; The Quality We Expected!

We haven't owned or used it for very long and we're new at food drying. It's working well for us, drying garden fresh tomatoes, squashes, and mushrooms; but no meats just yet. The racks are incredibly sturdy for both drying and cleaning. The location of the fan results in perfect functionality.. The stainless steel exterior is true stainless in that magnets do not adhere to it. That in itself is a rarity in stainless kitchen appliances these days. Ours resides in the pantry now where the lighting is poor. We would suggest as an improvement to add miniature LED lighting for the interior. We find ourselves frequently peeking in on the drying process and right now that requires the use of a flashlight.

I had a 9 tray, but upgraded to this beauty! I love it! I followed other reviewers on how to align the doors when attaching and it worked great! Thanks guys!

Horrible Doors / Extremely Overpriced

Like a lot of people have mentioned on the internet, the doors on this dehydrator are horrible. I am extremely surprised that excalibur has not done anything to address this issue, which is a bad sign of the excalibur as a company. For the high price, I would expact doors that functioned well. You can find other brand dehydrators for $300 that are better built.
