Q: can the charging cable be left in all the time so you don't have to recharge the batteries ?

A: Yes it can but according to eufy it can reduce battery life and opening the plug could expose camera to water. I might try this with one thats close to an outlet and covered

A: The Eufy SoloCam series, including the SoloCam C210, is designed to operate independently without requiring a base unit, such as the HomeBase. These cameras are standalone devices that connect directly to your home Wi-Fi (2.4GHz network only). You can then use the Eufy Security app on your smartphone to access and control the camera. This allows you to use the SoloCam directly with your smartphone without the need for additional hardware.

A: Wish I could tell you. Mine is not sending pictures to the app anymore. It worked for a few days. I’m taking this camera back.
